Bride and groom holding each other laughing

Your wedding day

You have spent months planning this incredible day so that you can give people a party to remember. My focus is to capture all the amazing feelings of the day to show you that it was worth it.

I’ll make sure you’re looking your best while capturing all the candid moments throughout the day as you probably don’t want to be the centre of attention the whole time!

Since I’ve been to over 100 weddings, I’ve got a pretty good idea on how this whole wedding thing works. Recommending vendors that are awesome to work with, how to time certain parts of your day, what are the best locations for what you’re after. Whatever tips, thoughts or advice you could use, know that I’ve got your back.  Just get in touch and fire away!

Every wedding is unique and packages can be customized to suit what ever your heart desires. Elopement packages are also available.

Wedding collections start at 3300 for 6hrs

For our wedding, we really wanted to have a photographer that is able to capture natural, romantic moments and it is exactly what we got! Wilson is very easy to work with and responded very quick on email whenever I had any questions. He guided us through the shoot so we never felt awkward in front of the camera. The best investment for our wedding!

FAQ

+ Where do we even start?

Email is a great place to start. Let me know about yourselves and the incredible day that you have planned. The more I know about you, the better that I can photograph you! From there we can meet to get to know each other better and talk about what you’ve got planned. Most importantly we want to make sure that were a good fit for each other!

+ What’s it like to work together?

You should expect to have a lot of fun and feel like I’m part of your team every step of the way! You can read more on what it’s like to work to work together here.

+ Should we do an engagement shoot?

Engagement shoots are a great way for us to get to know each other both personally, and photographically. Your shoot will show me how you guys interact with each other and what you’re comfortable with so your wedding day photos will be a breeze! If you feel like you’re super awkward in front of the camera that is even more reason to do an engagement shoot. You’ll have me to guide you every step of the way so that you’re completely comfortable in photos by the end of the session!

+ When should we do our engagement shoot?

Most couples do their engagement photos 3-6 months before their wedding date but my turnaround time is pretty quick so you can really get them done whenever. One thing to ask yourself is if there is something that you wanted to use the photos for? If there is then you may want to get the photos done sooner or later so that you can use them for that purpose. In terms of actual timing, assuming that we have a sunny day, your engagement shoot will begin 1hr before sunset.

+ What should we wear for our engagement shoot?

Wear whatever represents you the best! Generally, neutrals are best and I’d avoid any large logos or being too matchy-matchy. If you want some suggestions, just shoot me a message and I’d be happy to help!

+ What's your turnaround time for engagement shoots?

Four weeks.

+ How many images do you typically deliver for an engagement shoot

40+

+ How will our engagement shoot photos be delivered to us?

Your engagement photos will be delivered to you via an online gallery which you can download and share the photos from! If you’ve got me booked for a wedding your wedding photos will be uploaded to the exact same gallery.

+ What if we need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule your engagement shoot for whatever reason, that's no problem! We’ll reschedule to the next available date that works best for both of us.

+ What happens if it rains?

If it rains for your engagement shoot we’ll most likely reschedule. If it rains for your wedding day we have two options. The first is to go to the closest area with cover from the rain for your portraits. The second is for me to bring clear umbrellas for you and your wedding party and we’ll continue with the original plan. We can chat to see what works best for you and your wedding. Of course, you can always embrace the rain and shoot as if it wasn’t raining! Every time that I’ve done this the photos have turned out great!

+ Do you do video?

Though the equipment is similar, video is a whole different skill set compared to photo. For video, check out my friend Erik at http://www.thefinestmoment.com/ as he will be able to do an outstanding job for you!

+ Have you shot at my venue before?

I’ve shot at a lot of venues before so it’s possible that I’ve shot at yours too! If I haven’t though, I’ll make sure to show up early to do a location scout and a venue walkthrough so that I know where all the good spots are. I’ll also make sure to do a lot of research prior to the wedding day as well!

+ How much time do you think we’ll need for portraits?

This depends on how many locations you want to go! If you’re getting all your photos done at one location then an hour is fine for both couples portraits and the wedding party. Tack on 15mins if you want to do a first look.

+ What if I lose my images? What is your backup process like?

Back your images up!!! More than once. My second shooter and I both use cameras that have dual card slots which means that your photos are being backed up as they are being shot. Once I get home your photos are backed up onto my computer and two separate hard drives. When your photos are done they are uploaded to an online gallery which acts as a temporary (1 year) backup. I always make sure to keep one copy of everything I shoot but can’t guarantee that the hard drive will always be functional down the line.

+ What are your meetings like?

Pretty informal! We’ll meet at a coffee shop or if it's easier we can do a Skype/FaceTime call. I’ll have some questions about you and about your wedding and you’ll probably have questions for me too.

+ Can we pay via PayPal?

Yup! Just cover the 2.9% transaction fee from PayPal and were good to go.

+ Were super awkward in front of the camera. How will that work?

Nearly everyone that I photograph tells me this and I honestly feel the same way too when I’m in front of the camera. I will work with you every step of the way in giving you guidance but as long as you remember to have a good time the photos will look great! Trust me on this.

+ Why do you always work with a second shooter?

Because every great hero has a great sidekick. Batman and Robin. Scooby and Shaggy. Mario and Luigi. Also, because of four other reasons:

  1. A single photographer can’t be in two places at once. Very handy to have during the getting ready, but even during the ceremony as well. To get the bride walking down the aisle, the grooms reaction, and the parents crying all at once is quite the challenge. With two photographers it’s almost a walk in the park!

  2. There will always be someone shooting so nothing is missed. Except while you eat, as we usually eat then too because you probably don’t want photos of that!

  3. A good second shooter is a good assistant, not just for me, but for the couple as well. They help make the day more efficient for everyone by helping hold bags, gather people, and many other things.

  4. A second photographer offers more security. Sometimes the photographer can be accidentally blocked at the last second causing them to potentially miss a shot. With two photographers this is pretty much not a problem!

+ How many photos will we get from our wedding and what is your turnaround time?

The number of photos you receive will largely depend on the kind of wedding you have. Generally, you should expect to receive around 80-100 photos per hour of shooting. Editing your photos actually gets me so excited and you’ll get all the finished photos 2-3 months.
