Elliott is one of the coolest people I know. He's a writer who's words speaks to the soul, and connects with the heart. I recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with him in which we grabbed some portraits over a conversation. He chose Chinatown as the location as he believed it reflected his character, so we started with a quick brunch and then headed out for a walk. I love how organically these photos were created as nothing was really planned and everything just flowed. Here are the images that followed.
coquihalla canyon provincial park
Its always nice to take a bit of a creative break and shoot something that is out of whats normal for you. This break came in the form of a day trip to Hope to visit the Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park. There we took a walk through the Othello Tunnels which used to be train tunnels some 50 years ago. It was good that we spent most of our time in the tunnels as it was 30+ degrees in the valley weather. Despite the harsh middle of the day lighting, it was fun to play around with purely creative photographs. Also to note, this trip marked the first time I was stuck behind a truck moving a house.
hotel georgia wedding
I recently had the privilege of working with photographer, Stephen Lee as a second shooter for this Hotel Georgia wedding. It was a really great experience working and learning from such a seasoned pro. It was also a good learning experience for me being a second shooter that day, as I'm normally the primary photographer so I got to see from a similar perspective of my own second shooter. Enjoy the images below!
