christie graham workshop

One of the best investments is education. Theres no shortcut to success, but I will take every opportunity to speed up my journey onto living the life I have envisioned for myself. The Christie Graham Workshop has brought me at least one big step closer to this life. I've admired Christie's work for some time now and when I found out that she offered a one on one workshop, I saw it as a way to take my photography and business to the next level.

The workshop was above and beyond what I expected, and could have asked for. I came with many questions; Christie was there with all the answers, and then some! I really wanted to have a business focus with this workshop as I feel that this is the area where I see the most opportunity for growth. It was so great to be able to absorb and take in all of this information from someone who has such a great breadth of knowledge in this industry.

Accompanying the workshop, was a styled shoot that Christie had put together which featured renowned vendors from the wedding world. It was a great experience to be able to shoot along side someone with such great vision. I actually found it very interesting just watching her shoot, from the way she speaks to the couple to even the way she composes herself. Needless to say, I am very excited in taking everything that I've learned from the workshop and applying this new found knowledge to my photography and business!

A special thanks to all the vendors who took part and made this workshop possible:

San Francisco in November

Summer sun in November? Sign me up! I love California, and I love San Francisco. San Francisco is like my home away from home, and when I heard that one of my cousins there was getting married, I knew I had to go.

I went purely as a guest, just to visit; even leaving my camera at home on the day of the wedding. There are few places now that I have yet to see in the city, but in my short time there I went about crossing off a couple more locations. One of my highlights of the trip was where I headed out on my own and just decided to walk in a general direction until I hit the water. It was just a really peaceful experience with no expectations, just curiosity.

vancouver wedding proposal

Months of planning all lead up to this one moment. I met Corey through work, and one month before the big day, we decided to meet up on location and plan out every last detail, from the exact angle, to the possible lighting situations that could happen. Fast forward one month and things couldn’t have gone to plan any better!

After giving a moment to Corey and Julia, we started on a mini-engagement shoot and they couldn’t have been any more enjoyable to photograph. They were just so in love and I feel that this really shows through the photographs. This was the first proposal I’ve ever shot, and it was just exhilarating! Thank you to Corey and Julia for sharing this truly special moment with me.
