Smoke covered the skies as the winds blew the ashes from the surrounding forrest fires into Vancouver. If I recall, this was the first or second day of the smoggy skies, and it was the at it's peak. I remember stepping outside to head to this shoot and it pretty much looked like every person on the block was having a BBQ, except, no one was. It's not often an opportunity like this comes along, so I knew I would have to play into this haze and make the best of it. Done right, I knew it would be something special.
