I’ve always wanted to go to Banff, I just didn’t think I’d go when it was -30 degrees there. I’ve always been terrible with the cold. Once the temperatures dipped below 10 degrees, it's cold for me. To say I had some reservations about going to Banff when the average day time temperature is -10 degrees in the winter was a bit of an understatement. I thought I would come back home as a human Popsicle.

It was fun to be able to photograph something different than what I’m normally used to. Loved working with all the colours and the unique traditions. Not sure if it’s just because I’m not used to photographing India ceremonies, but I felt like there was a lot more anticipation for the bride compared to western weddings. The reveal of the bride seems to be an event on its own.

For Zainub and Ben’s engagement shoot, they wanted to have a picnic at Granville Island. The highlight had to have been the champaign. They took turns trying to open it and when it finally opened half the bottle sprayed out of it!
