How to Find the Perfect Amount of Coverage for Your Wedding

While some wedding photographers offer full day coverage, most wedding photographers will be hired for a set number of hours. Here are a few things to consider when determining how much coverage is perfect for you!

Most couples want some photos of themselves and their friends/family getting ready before the ceremony. Typically only the last hour of this is photographed, that way you’re almost good to go and we can head out together. If you don’t want getting ready photos, you can save an hour here, plus the time it takes to get from the getting ready location to the next location as coverage is continuous.

The day ends for most photographers during the dancing at night. Typically I will photograph the first hour of dancing photos as everyone is fired up about the dancing starting. Sometimes I may wrap up after the first dance. It all depends on what you value!

Typically most wedding photographers are booked for 8hrs which usually goes from the last hour of getting ready to the first hour of dancing. With that said, you may not need that much coverage, or perhaps you’ve got an absolutely full day and you want more! Regardless of what ever you have planned, I’d be happy to help you craft the perfect timeline for you and your day!
