Kitsilano family photos

On one of the first nice days this spring, I headed to Kits Beach to take some photos of my friend Carley, her daughter Sayeh, and her sister Steph. This shoot had been nearly a year in the making and I'm so glad we finally got it done. As mentioned, it was a gorgeous day out, however it was quite windy at the beach, making it rather chilly. One of the challenges then was to get this shoot wrapped up quickly, but not to rush as that can effect the mood of the shoot; which would show up in the photos. The second challenge was the wind. Being just about smack in the middle of the day I had to make sure the angles were good for lighting, but also make sure that the wind was blowing in a direction that wouldnt mess up everyones hair. Here are some favourites.

2 things

Hey, short post this week. I'm doing a shoot later today so I'll have some pictures to share next week. For now, I've got two things.

1. I finally started a facebook page for my photography work! It can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/WilsonLauPhotography

2. I recently did some test printing with Artifact Uprising. The great thing about them is that they do all their prints on recycled paper. The prints I got from them can be seen below.

Thats it for now!

book review: 1001 ways to wisdom

1001 Ways of Wisdom is a small book that is full of wonderful quotes that helps bring you one step closer to being a little more wise. Some of the quotes in there are instantly recognizable from well known people while many are anonymous. I made sure to take my time with reading this book and to think about each quote while letting the thoughts settle in. Overall a great short read for a little inspiration!
