What to Know Before Booking Your Caterer

Catering is one of your big ticket items in terms of wedding planning and should be booked about 3 months in advance, though earlier is always better. When booking a caterer most brides tend to forget about involving them into the logistics of the day which is a very important thing to do. Another thing that’s often forgotten is table space and how that works with your decor. If you’re planning on having a family style dinner, the food is gonna take up a lot of space!

Another thing to consider when looking for a caterer is what can they actually bring and provide? If the location of your dinner reception doesn’t have a kitchen, does the cater have a mobile kitchen? How about catering staff and bartenders? Do they provide the rentals or do you have to get that through the venue or someone else? Who provides alcohol? Booking a caterer is no small feat so there are lots to consider when looking for one!
